Hourly to Salary Calculator – See What Your Time Is Worth

This Hourly to Salary Calculator helps you convert between hourly wage and salary so you can better understand the value of your time. Whether you are comparing job offers, planning freelance rates, or checking if a salaried role is fair compared to an hourly position, this tool gives you clear breakdowns by week, month, and year.

How Hourly to Salary Conversion Works

To convert an hourly wage into annual salary, you multiply by the number of working hours per week and the number of working weeks per year:

Weekly Pay = Hourly Rate × Hours per Week
Annual Salary = Hourly Rate × Hours per Week × Weeks per Year

Monthly pay is typically approximated as annual salary divided by 12 months.

Converting Salary to Hourly

To reverse the calculation and find an equivalent hourly rate from an annual salary:

Hourly Rate = Annual Salary ÷ (Hours per Week × Weeks per Year)

This is useful when you want to compare a salaried offer to an hourly job or freelance rate.

Overtime and Total Pay

Many people earn more than their base salary through overtime. The overtime tab separates regular and overtime hours:

  • Regular Pay = Base Rate × Regular Hours
  • Overtime Pay = Base Rate × Overtime Multiplier × Overtime Hours
  • Total Weekly Pay = Regular Pay + Overtime Pay

The calculator then scales your weekly pay to monthly and yearly amounts so you can see how much overtime changes your total income.

Pay Frequency Conversion

Employers and contracts often quote pay in different formats: hourly, daily, weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, monthly, or annual. The pay frequency converter:

  • Takes any known pay amount and its frequency
  • Converts it to an annual figure
  • Then derives hourly, daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and annual equivalents

This makes it easy to compare job offers and rates that use different pay cycles.
