Password Generator – Strong Password, PIN & Passphrase Creator

This Password Generator is designed to help you create secure credentials for online accounts, apps, Wi-Fi networks and servers. It supports three modes: standard passwords, numeric PIN codes and secure passphrases.

Standard Password Mode

The Standard Password tab lets you control password length, character types and advanced rules. You can include or exclude lowercase letters, uppercase letters, numbers and symbols. You can also remove lookalike characters and ambiguous symbols to make the password easier to read while keeping it strong.

Every generated password comes with an estimated strength category, entropy in bits, an approximate crack time and a live strength bar. The last five generated passwords are listed so you can copy a previous one if needed.

Numeric PIN Mode

The PIN tab generates numeric codes for devices, alarms and apps that only accept digits. You can adjust the length and decide whether to allow repeated digits or avoid obvious sequences. The tool calculates entropy and provides a rough security category so you know if your PIN is too simple.

Passphrase Mode

The Passphrase tab builds human-friendly passphrases by combining random words. You choose how many words to include, the separator and whether to capitalize each word or add a random number at the end. Passphrases are easier to remember but can still offer high security when they are long enough.

Understanding Entropy and Strength

Entropy is a measure of how unpredictable a password is. Higher entropy values generally mean stronger security. This tool estimates entropy based on the size of the character set and the length of the password or passphrase, and then maps that to a readable strength level and crack time range.

Best Practices For Strong Passwords

  • Use a unique password for every important account.
  • Enable two-factor authentication whenever possible.
  • Use a password manager to store long and complex passwords.
  • Prefer longer passphrases or passwords over short ones.

Use this Password Generator whenever you create a new account, update login credentials or need strong keys for your systems and applications.
